We are looking for a Cartridge Quality, Reliability & Compliance Project Manager to join our innovative and international team and support our project of innovative cartridge development.

At Thorizon, we’re a passionate and rapidly growing team of 45 in Amsterdam and Lyon, all working together to develop a new nuclear power solution. We design and create frontier technology for Molten Salt Reactors (MSR).
Our purpose is to accelerate the availability of clean energy and help solve the climate crisis.

Your mission
Are you passionate about ensuring high-quality, reliable, and compliant complex mechanical systems? Do you get energized by innovation and transforming ideas into tangible solutions? You will be responsible of the quality of the cartridge. For that you will implement and follow all the activities related to quality in project phase: functional reliability, regulatory compliance, safety & phenomena cases, and associated validation plan. You will manage in transversal a growing team of junior, medior, senior, and external specialists. You will ensure utilization of world class quality tool in projects (Design & Manufacturing FMEA, FTA, Supplier qualification, Quality quotations, …).
You will manage and prioritize from a transverse overview of the quality discipline across all subsystems and ensure seamless integration of other disciplines in analyses related to quality assurance (Mechanic, Thermic, Vibration, Seismic, …). You get the unique opportunity to develop your ideas, explore various aspects of quality management, learn how to build and manage an effective expert team, and play a crucial role in establishing the company’s success
In this role you will:
- Ensure the implementation of worldclass quality methodologies to ensure quality in development of our cartridge
- Ensure that the validation plan is constantly in adequacy with the need of the development
- Ensure that the conclusions of the tests are taken in account in the design
- Implement a quality supplier qualification process to support the cartridge manufacturing.
- Create and maintain a quality dashboard along the project phases and give quality robust advices along the cartridge development
Job requirements
About you:
- You have a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and a background in quality in complex project
- You have at least 10 of experience years of experience managing quality in project, demonstrating success in similar configuration
- Previous experience in the nuclear sector is not required, but interest in the energy and nuclear field, and in multidisciplinary complexity and innovation is essential
- Good knowledge of Nuclear and engineering regulations is a must to have: RCC-MRx / ESPN / …
- You have strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with drive for quality and accuracy.
- You get inspired by an organization with a large variety of people, with different experiences and background, and have the ability to adjust your management style depending on situation and the people involved.
- You are open and communicative, sharing your observations and expectations. Clear is kind.
- You are an excellent communicator in English (working daily language), both spoken and written
- You are a team player, and as such can build a team of team players
- You solve problems creatively and know when and how to involve other team members
- You like working in an agile manner and are comfortable with the fast-moving pace of a technological scale-up
- You are a hands-on self-starter who likes to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment that is growing fast
- You have an intrinsic motivation to make an impact and want to contribute to a responsible energy supply
